Once Upon a Disney Dinner | The Little Mermaid

Even though the weekend was quite busy and filled with everything from clothes shopping, to cleaning the house, to gardening, to laundry, and a million little things in between, I managed to also do our 2nd installment of Once Upon a Disney Dinner. Our featured movie was The Little Mermaid; which happens to be my favorite animated Disney movie.

The menu featured Homemade Mac & Cheese “Shells”, with a “Seaweed” Salad and for dessert I made this cute Clam Shell cookies. I wish I could say that Michael and Shawn are loving these dinners as much as I am but that’s not fully the case. They don’t mind it but it’s definitely not their thing. Too bad I say… I am committed to having some extra family time and they can spend an hour and half watching a Disney movie together.

The Mac & Cheese was super good and very cheesy! I have made this recipe before and it’s one of my favorites. You can find the recipe here!

These cookies are super cute, super easy to make, and taste so good! They’re little bite-sized treats and don’t take that long to make. I used Nilla Wafers, made a small batch of buttercream frosting and just piped it onto the cookies. The little “pearls” were left over from a sprinkle mix that I had in the cupboard.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

XOXO, Jules

Boys! Sometimes they don’t appreciate a good thing. I think this is awesome! And those little cookies are adorable!

I have been taking advantage of the rainy and colder Spring weather by snuggling up with a blanket and The Letter Tree by Rachel Fordham.

Think vintage strawberry meets French Ratatouille and that's the new style of my kitchen. Very sweet with a light Disney touch here and there.

We recently had to say goodbye to one of our beloved dogs, Merida. We have since then adopted a very sweet, very rambunctious 8 week old puppy. She helps keep us on our toes - that is, when she's not nibbling on them!
