5 Things I Am Loving Right Now

I am the type of person who gets excited over the little things in life. A new spatula to use while baking can make me smile months and months after buying it. Getting a package in the mail from a friend will make me happy for days. Finding a product that exceeds my expectations lights up my world. I thought I would share with you all 5 things that I personally am loving right now…

  1. My Unicorn Dream Catcher: I came across this on Pinterest and I jokingly sent it to a friend (who makes dream catchers) and said I wanted one of these. Next thing I knew it was at my doorstep. It’s adorable and makes my 6 year old self happy, as well as my {almost} 41 year old self happy. It’s hanging in our bedroom and not far from my desk, so when I am working away I can glance over at it.

2. For years I have used an Aveeno Serum that I mix with my daytime moisturizer before putting it on. However, it’s become increasingly difficult to find in the stores, so I decided to give another product a try. This technically is supposed to be a nighttime one (but I didn’t realize that until weeks later – haha). I don’t know if it’s doing all that “wrinkle-control” that it says it does but I do know that it makes my skin soft and smooth. Better than the other stuff to be honest and for the price, it had better. It’s about twice the cost of the Aveeno Serum! Yikes… no one tell Michael. lol

3. These have got to be the BEST smelling dog treats that I have ever found… smelled… kinda want to try because they smell that good (just kidding.. maybe. lol) Merida, my 6 month old German Shepherd is going to puppy school and they recommended this treat for training. It smells just like blueberry muffins and she goes crazy for them. They break apart easily, which is good for training because that means we don’t always have to give her a whole one. If you have dogs, I would look into these treats and then you won’t think I am so crazy wanting to sneak a taste. haha!

4. Our Wick Plant: We were walking through the grocery store recently and saw a bunch of these ferns sitting in the floral department. They had a tag that said “Wick Plant” and next thing I knew, Michael was carrying one to bring home. It’s an interesting concept and one that we had never heard of before but it makes a nice addition to the plants on the windowsill by the kitchen sink. I can’t wait to see how big it’s going to get.

5. There is just something charming about a wreath on the front door. It’s homey and sweet and it brings a pop of color to the entryway of the house. In about a month this one will be replaced (It’s been up there since the beginning of March) to make way for a more Patriotic/Summer themed wreath. I have a habit of when driving around town, I look at the wreaths on other people’s front doors and get ideas of what I can put up there next.

Well there are my 5 things… proving that it doesn’t take much to make me happy. I am always reminded of the line in the Matchbox Twenty song 3AM where is says “She thinks happiness is a mat that sits on her doorway” because this is totally 100% me. (not the rest of the song… just that line!)

XOXO, Jules

Hi Jules! So nice that you are blogging again! You have a lovely sight. I hope to post again on Saturday. I am trying to finish a project. I moved my blog to bBlogger about a year ago but I still have my website. Thanks for leaving me a comment!

Okay, 1st, that unicorn dream catcher is stinking adorable! 2nd, I’ve never heard of a wick plant either but I’m loving the concept! Looks like it would be super easy to take care of?

    Beautiful wreath!

Kim, I love that you can easily tell when it needs water! Which is perfect for me because I have a hard time remembering to water my house plants.

Trying Something New

It's been years since we have had kittens in the house but after our Penny passed away suddenly, we adopted 2 twin kittens. It's been an adventure getting them used to our 2 German Shepherds.
